Job Description

Huron House Boys’ Home has a Fundraising and Event Coordinator Position Available

Work Schedule: Part time contract position. Normally 20 hours/week, with some periods requiring up to 35 hours/week. Some evenings and weekends will be required.


Accountable to: Executive Director


Responsibilities:
- Manage annual Father’s Day Run/Walk/Skate/Bike.
- Develop and manage additional fundraising campaigns.
- Develop sponsorship proposals.
- Oversee volunteer recruitment and co-ordination, and event operations.
- Manage a variety of fundraising budgets.
- Manage our annual Men Who Cook Gala
- Co-ordinate marketing and communications in support of campaigns, including timelines, design and messaging of related promotional materials.
- Co-ordinate committees and meetings, prepare agendas, notes and related communications.
- Produce Huron House Boys' Home Bulletin and annual fundraising reports.
- Encourage donations and gifts and monitor the current donor database.
- Promote a positive community image of Huron House Boys' Home and foster goodwill.
- Attend various community functions and events on behalf of Huron House Boys' Home.
- Collaborate closely with Executive Director, Foundation Board and fundraising committees.


Skills and Qualifications:
- Three – five years’ relevant fundraising experience in non-profit environment
- Proven success in recruiting and guiding volunteers.
- Proven success in creating and implementing fundraising business plans
- Exceptional time and project management skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Excellent writing skills for print and web materials.
- Enthusiastic team player with ability to work independently.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and suitable vehicle.
- University degree or College diploma in a related field or equivalent.
